Preventing Drug Dependence

You’ve Always heard, Say NO to Drugs.. Here’s Why:

Have you ever been pressured into doing drugs? Do you know what to say when they ask you if you want a sip of alcohol or a pill of ecstasy? You say, NO! You know why? Because not only are drugs extremely bad for you, but you could face a future full of life regrets, sadness and stress due to that one sip of alcohol you took, or that one ecstasy pill that caused an addiction. Once you realize that people do these drugs to feel good, you’ll want to try it too, and continually take them. This is why you need to reject people’s invitation to do drugs, it will only bring you problems. Most people do drugs because it helps them forget about their pain but they don’t realize that it’s only a temporary high. Once they’re back down to being sober they’ll want to do it again since it felt so good. When it becomes a habit, then it turns into an addiction that they cannot get away from. Taking drugs at a party will seem fun living for the moment and then doing it every weekend with your friends. Soon enough, without noticing, you’ll want to start doing drugs outside the party setting which then would mean you’ve developed a dependence to it.

As a teenager, you’ll  probably want to do what your friends are doing because that’s what the “cool” kids do at the moment. Remember that you are not alone, and that if you don’t give in to drugs you will be considered a very strong person. Most people give in to drugs, so knowing that you didn’t will boost your self-esteem a lot. Never listen to what others say, if they’re pressuring you then walk away and if you lose them as a friend because you said “no” then they were never your friends from the beginning. You have dreams, you probably want to become successful, and by being able to realize that you never gave into the pressure of doing drugs, you will assure your self of being what you’ve always wanted to be. Being submissive to drugs means you will let people walk over you, to be successful you have to be the leader and being able to take control of your life. Aside from drugs ruining your life, they can also deteriorate your health. If you already suffer from health problems, then it could affect you negatively. Make sure that if you already tried these drugs that you contact Teen Drug Rehab to prevent any future problems.
